Eligibility & Rates
ELIGIBILITY
- Boys and girls ages 6-17 inclusive.
- Qualified Swimmer: Campers must be "water safe." Campers will be required to pass a swim test, on the first day of camp, consisting of a 50 meter swim, and 5 minutes of treading water. For swimming instruction, contact Peninsula Family YMCA at (619) 226-8888.
- Parents will be asked to submit health information on the form provided upon receipt of registration.
We encourage all children to participate. If campers have needs that require special consideration, parents must contact the Camp Director at least 7 days in advance of attendance so we can provide the necessary staff and equipment.
Inclusion Assistance provided by the Torrey Pines Kiwaniis and the La Jolla Festival of the Arts.
RATES FOR 2012
REFUND POLICY
Written notice of cancellation must be received at least 7 days prior to start of the session in which a camper is enrolled. No refunds will be given with less than 7 days notice. Refunds take about 4-6 weeks to be processed.
CAMPERSHIPS
Camperships from are available to families in need of financial assistance. Those who wish to apply must complete a YMCA scholarship application and mail it to the Camp Administrator at PO Box 6678, San Diego, CA 92166-0678. The requests will be considered by the Peninsula Family YMCA based on need. Camperships at the Water Sports Camp are made possible through grants provided by California Department of Boating and Waterways, and the San Diego Yacht Club Sailing Foundation. There are a limited amount of scholarships available, so please apply early.
